Mastering a craft is something I consider nearly impossible,
Given our ability to build and share ideas across generations.
But working toward mastering a craft
Is a journey I find deeply satisfying.
There are elements in life that are timeless:
Movement and spatial dynamics.
These are constants, part of everyday life.
Bicycles are wonderful machines,
Helping us explore the space within arm's reach.
They connect us to streets, buildings, and people,
Through the handlebars, tires, and pedals.
I was raised in a household
That didn’t focus on deeply on conversations or gifts,
But valued each other's presence and the tasks we each focused on—
Tasks that gave us the words to share our work.
I like to think completing a bike like this
Would inspire awe and excitement in anyone
Passionate about bicycles.
I’m happy this bike is here,
And happy to bring it forward.
The paint gives off a sense depth and charm.
The hand-built wheels are tuned, all the way around.
The brakes are strong and trustworthy.
The brass ferrules and downtube shifter cover are hidden treasures.
The leather saddle and bar tape provide a timeless look.
The steel frame—will last forever.
