Niecy Nash said it best herself: When she Thanked herself in her acceptance speech for her Emmy award!
She was then asked by a reporter: “Why was it important to thank her and give herself the recognition that was due.?“
Nash then stated: “ well, I am the only that knows what it cost me, I am the only one that knows how many nights I’ve cried bc I couldn’t be seen for certain roles. How no matter what she was going through in her life she still had to show up and show out. She goes on to talk about having to raise her kids,having a whole life and how you have to keep pushing. This is why she is proud of herself…. she’s proud of herself for doing something that people said that she could not do, she believed in herself when no one else did. she then invites others to believe in their selves because she knows there’s people out there that don’t believe in themselves!
Believe in yourself and congratulate yourself because sometimes you have to encourage yourself. That’s why it’s called self esteem and not them esteem not mom esteem or us esteem. It’s self-esteem because nobody has to believe it but you.
So I go on to say this Keep pushing, Keep believing in yourself, Keep praying, Keep loving, Keep striving, Keep dreaming, Keep manifesting, Keep being yourself, and the doors will open that no man or one man can close.! Stay encourage….
When Good gives you a vision there is always a mustard seed that he has planted and all you have to do is put in the work! He’s vision to let up, they stay in your spirit… you will think and dream about them until it come to fruition!
I say this at Donald Love with 20 plus years of friendship! It’s coming friend… you may not see it…. you may not understand it…. You may not know how…..But It’s coming! Stop sleeping on it….. he knows I will tell him straight to his face how I feel about him and get him together (and vice versa)! While reaching back to pull him on to my back and walk the extra mile with him on it! Keep pushing my friend!
My lovely sweet friend/assistant,Jalissa Hamilton…jell what time you got bc I think my phone reset itself lol. It’s been one for the books, from our Joco days jamming out and parking lot talks, from helping come up with my first born child’s name which is iconic, from our late night talks on our vision for our life’s, to beefing a bridesmaid in my wedding, to now!
