These are the Christmas fabrics I'm using to make my next tree wall quilt. Class ($25) on Monday in Trenton at 10. Pattern included and machine provided if needed. Bring a background, at least 5 fabric strips for trees, thread. I have open spaces. If you need to finish a project from an earlier class, join us, too. Text 812-5649.

Bag Workshop: Choose to make a lunch bag from laminate or oilcloth, a dopp bag style zipped bag in one fabric or patchwork, and/or zippered pouches. The laminate will be a bit easier to work with than the oilcloth which is quite thick and not as pliable. Driven folk will be able to make more than one item. October 22. 10 to 2. $25 includes pattern

Studio Shirt: A lot of swing defines this shirt. I made my sample in a rayon that has plenty of drape and flow. Only 4 pattern pieces make this an easy project for the experienced and very user friendly for the novice. It does have buttons, so this is an opportunity to learn your buttonholer on your machine. October 28. 10 to 3. $45 includes multi-size pattern.

Appliqué Skinny Trees: Make a piece of patchwork, cut out the trees, and attach them through your quilting. Finished piece is about 18” x 18” not counting borders. (You have some leeway in sizing the background. November 10. 10 to 3. $25 includes pattern.

Santa’s Patchwork Hat: Piece some squares of Christmas fabric to make this fun Santa Hat. We will make a huge pompom for the top. Easy enough for the beginning sewist. December 5. 10 to 3. $40 includes pattern

I'm excited to do another sewing class! I just finished this remake of a jacket I made almost 30 years ago (the original had really gotten shabby) from a now out of print Kwik Sew pattern. I located the pattern and will have to trace off your size for you. Anyone interested? Trenton June 17 beginning at 9:30 (and 18 if needed) and in Portland June 20 and 21 (visit the sewing machine exchange website to sign up for that one). Message me if interested. I made it out of a canvas and didn't have a flannel to match, so bought a shirt for $2.10 at Goodwill for the contrasting flannel. I might try one out of a lighter fabric, although, the unlined jacket is a perfect weight for late spring through early fall.

I just finished my over-the-head apron. There are a few glitches in it that I will keep you from doing in class on January 29 beginning at 10. $45 includes pattern. For fabric, you will need 2.75 yds - 3.25 yds 45" wide or 2.25 yds - 2.5 yds 54" wide; sizes range from 31" bust to 58.5" bust. Call or text me if you would like to come 207-812-5639. Machines are available for use. Expect to take most of the day to complete.
