“If you talk to the animals, they will talk with you, and you will know each other." These powerful words from Chief Dan George remind us of the sacred bond between humans and animals. The wisdom of the Earth calls for respect and understanding, not just from humans but for the creatures who walk this land. 🐺

To live in harmony with nature means to listen, learn, and grow alongside it. We must nurture the world around us, recognizing the deep intelligence that exists within all living beings. 🌿

June 1: On this day in 1969, Beck-Ola was released.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdX6egy2k4c

This was the Jeff Beck Group's second - and last - album from this iteration, which featured Rod Stewart on vocals, Ronnie Wood on bass and Nicky Hopkins on piano. (Drummer Mickey Waller, heard on the debut, was replaced here by Tony Newman.)

In addition to the heavy blues workouts, the album included a pair of Elvis covers: "All Shook Up" and "Jailhouse Rock." Scheduled to play Woodstock, the group disintegrated, with Stewart and Wood joining the (Small) Faces that year.

About that cover art: it’s a 1952 painting entitled The Listening Room by Belgian painter René Magritte. A favorite of Paul McCartney, Granny Smith apples turned up in the surrealist’s work. This element was a direct influence on the Beatles’ record label logo.
