Olympus Fireworks is open for business today! Contrary to misleading newspaper articles, you can light fireworks until tonight (July 25th) at 11 p.m. within the authorized shoot zones of Tooele City and Grantsville under the same rules as the 4th of July. Please follow guidelines and be safe and responsible.

Also, if anyone needs boxes, please drop by after 6:00 tonight and we will be able to help you out.

It has been so much fun to see the city light up this holiday season. I think it has brought much needed cheer to us all during this crazy time.

Thanks for all of your support. We love Tooele!

Happy Independence Day! Thank you, Tooele, for an amazing 4th of July! We will be open tomorrow, and then again on July 22nd for Pioneer Day. We look forward to seeing you again!

For as long as we can remember, we have celebrated Independence Day with grand displays of fireworks. Why do we celebrate Independence Day with fireworks? Because John Adams wanted us to.
Before the Declaration of Independence was even signed, he envisioned fireworks as a part of the festivities. In a letter to his wife, he wrote that the occasion ought to be observed “with pomp and parade, with shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more.”
