Do you know what makes a First Surface Mirror different from a conventional mirror (aka Second Surface Mirror)?
FSM: This type of mirror has a metallic surface on the front, making it so light never passes through the glass, but instead allows for the light to reflect back towards the viewer uninterrupted.
SSM: (aka silver glass mirrors) This type of mirror has a backing coated with a reflective material (silver, copper or aluminum), which causes a loss in light reflection due to the fact that the light needs to go through an additional layer to be reflected back to the viewer.
