In stock and shipping! Info and pricing link below. The 2M LIL BIRD was designed by Ray Hayes. It is acclaimed by many R/C Soaring enthusiasts as the best flying all wood 2M sailplane available. It can be built for conventional launch or electric power. Wood parts and instructions are included for both methods. Launching from our SkyStart (hi-start) or an electric winch is spectacular! Yes, you can finish with a zoom! And yes, you can hand launch it too as the flying weight is 22 oz.

This modern airfoil design, like all the Sky Bench Bird Series, can fly very fast to cover ground searching for a thermals. Or you can fly it extremely slow, nose high, because the airfoil resists tip stalling. This means it will float for ever in light lift conditions!

Construction is a snap due to dead on Sky Bench super accurate laser-cut parts. Our laser-cut wing ribs are truely a joy to build with. All hardware is furnished with the 2M LIL BIRD. Glue, and covering materials are not furnished in kit.
