Finally, I honor me on this beautiful Mother’s Day ✨

I honor myself for being the mother I am. For loving my kids so much that I do the work that hurts but is so rewarding! I honor myself for showing up for them because I desperately want to!! For being so freaking lucky to have each & every one of them.

They are art & their own special gift to me. To think that at some point, their tiny spirits chose me as their momma - it is the most humbling thing ever.

I became a momma at 19 & grew up with my kids. It’s been a ride that sometimes feels like that old wooden roller coaster from Cedar Point! & also the top thrill dragster…. & the raptor too! Fun, at some points painful, but omg lets do it again 😅😩💀💀

If you know me at all, you know that being a mother is my favorite thing about myself & also that I don’t do this type of celebrating for myself either LOL

But today, I acknowledge what an amazing mother I am & how I’ve done what I’ve always said I would do: stayed.

While times have been dark & difficult, I have to work harder to remember that in light of the good. My kids are everything to me. I love them so deeply & life has taught me that this is only possible because I do, in fact, love myself. We can only give away what we accept when it comes to love. Seeing them live their lives, existing in such unique & beautiful ways, I did that!!! I’m so proud of that.

I’ll hug myself today & allow every feeling of joy & happiness & pride over these little humans. I’m so proud of them. I’m so proud of myself.

To the women who raised me 💞 I’m so grateful for the good, the bad, & the ugly. Life has taught me, (especially the whole owning a business part), that the lows are just as important as the highs!! Honestly, they’re more impactful & teach better lessons ✨

I love who I am, I love my life, I love my family, my children are works of art, my business is a wonder, & I am who I am large in part to these four women.

My Aunty, my Momma, & both my Grandmothers 🥰

I really wanted to show off my secret weapons & that’s the mother’s I’ve been surrounded by & have posted over these last few days. I didn’t account for everyone, blame my mind because my heart would post everyone LOL but these posts are a drop in the ocean compared to the impact all these women have had on my life.

The greatest gift is that my daughters are whole, happy, & healthy little ladies because of all that these women have done & sacrificed - just for me. It’s humbling. I could go on for days. There’s so much to be grateful for.

I hope you take time to honor & love on the mother’s in your world! Some are no longer with me & while that pain will never leave me, it serves as a reminder for the love I hold for them! Our hearts are so big, the capacity is unmatched. Happy Mother’s Day to these wonderful women & to you, too!!

Here’s my Momma-In-Law helping me build out my first studio, there’s her & dad making candles in our second storefront, & also her being the best grandma ✨

Jeniene Duckins Hall always listens to my ideas for Callisto & even encourages some of my more creative ideas lol she answers with wisdom & shows up over & over again.

I had a healthy fear of her throughout my teenage years which grew into more of a framework for how I love & raise my own kids. After 20 years, she’s become a standard for how I handle a lot of life & one I’ve gone to for advice, knowing she isn’t about to play. You want a straight answer? This is your girl. I can’t fully express how that’s carried me as a mom & business owner.

I truly love this woman as a momma & am so grateful for her steadiness! Happy Mother’s Day 🥰✨💗💗💗 also, the kids wanna know if they can come over 👀😂😘😘😘

Mother’s Day is on the way & here are two Momma’s that have inspired me, walked alongside me, showed up over & over & over!!

This is Jerrika Brown of the Browns Agency ™ - my business mentor & momma ✨ Jerrika is such an inspiration of being as great as you decide to be. The only thing in your way truly is YOU 💞 we did hard, inner work that really mattered for me personally & in my business. Jerrika held my hand & spoke to parts of me that are alive & thriving now because of her discernment & love for me. She gives without thought to anyone. Forever grateful for this Momma!

Alyssa Martinez-Baker is the type of woman that you meet & wish you would’ve met her years before. She’s an amazing human, friend, mom, all that!! She inspires you to be your best self & supports her people in any way she can. Seriously. She will literally do anything she can for her loved ones. I adore her, my kids love her so much! She is someone I will hold dear forever & ever!!

In honor of Mother’s Day this weekend, here’s a momma who has showed up for our Small Business since the very beginning. This is Jen, my kid’s godmother.

She’s worked events, kept kids a thousand times, helped make product over & over again, she works with kids & we have fulfilled so many volunteer hours together 😅 she’s brought them out to make hundreds of products. Jen has taken any & every workshop we offer. She doesn’t ask for discounts or act how some can, that ‘we know each other’ tax can be crazy 🤪 Jen has actually referred so many others to Callisto, I’ve lost count ✨ she genuinely loves & believes in this business.
