I recently got an app called Picnic for this exact problem š
(and yes itās free or paid for extra features)
You may be ADHD if you:
š„“screenshot things to remember them never to look at them again
š„“send yourself emails to remember the thing never to look at them again
š„“create 100+ Pinterest books to save all the things never to look at them again
š„“send yourself insta DMs to remember things only to never look at them again
š„“take screenshots of your screenshots to bring them to the front of your photos rather than lost in the back only to never look at them again š¤¦
š„“send yourself texts to remember things only to never look at them again
š„“write yourself reminders in your diary or calendar only to never look at them again
Are people seeing how āWhy donāt you just try a diaryā is sh*tty advice for ADHDers yet? I know pattern recognition isnāt really a skillset neurotypical people have but I feel like this pattern is simple enough for them to see.
When something is not part of our routine we will never look at that thing again! It can be in my diary and I still forget cause looking in my diary is not part of my routine. And when I need to find that reminder that I feel like I sent myself, did I DM myself, did I send it on fb, or insta, or email, or text? Or was it a screenshot? Or was it in my diary? There are too many reminders and too many places those reminders could be!!!
Thanks to whoever made this meme, I feel like thereās a watermark there, but I canāt read it, DM me if you know who to credit
