Allow me to reintroduce myself…
I’ve been a wedding florist for nearly a decade now, and what a journey it has been. In those early years, I was proud of the steady growth—both in my business and in my artistry. Then life, as it tends to do, brought seasons of change.
In 2019, I welcomed my first baby. In 2020, the world shifted.
In 2021, my mom became ill.
In 2022, I welcomed my second baby and said goodbye to my mom within months of one another. Postpartum was heavy. Grief was even heavier. I took on less, I shared less, but I never let go of the work that has always felt like home—wedding florals.
In 2024, my youngest son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, reshaping our lives once again. My husband and I stepped into a new role—part parents, part organ-operators—doing everything we can to help him thrive without carrying the weight of this disease on such young shoulders. To say the past few years have been a lot would be an understatement.
But through every shift, I’ve held onto my passion. Creating is my release. Designing is where I breathe. I have to make things. I have to use my hands. It’s who I am.
So, allow me to reintroduce myself:
I’m Ashley Sherwood—wife, mom of two (one Type 1 warrior), and a wedding florist still deeply dedicated to this industry. I’m incredibly grateful for the team that has stood by me since the very beginning—a designer who create with the same heart and intention that built Sherwood Florist. I’ve set designated office hours on Mondays and Tuesdays for client communication, and with a fresh rebrand guided by someone who has supported me from the start, I’m stepping confidently into 2026.
To all my past and future brides:
Thank you for trusting me with your florals on one of the most meaningful days of your life. It’s an honor I never take lightly.
