And I may be a "Queen," but let me assure you... we have no gardener and no landscaper around here. 😄

Truthfully, I don't consider myself much of a gardener at all.

But what kind of garden would a Little House on the Prairie lover create?

Here's mine.

I was lucky enough to find a couple of old wagon beds that had seen better days, and instead of letting them go to waste, we gave them a new purpose as raised garden beds. The rest is raised-bed history!

Being Italian, my wagons are overflowing with San Marzano tomatoes. My newest addition is what I jokingly call my "Off the Boat" garden bed, and if all goes well, we'll be serving up some delicious "Eggplant Off the Boat" later this season. Hopefully, there will be a "sea" of blueish purple flowers filled in by next year, looking like a wavy lake.

There's just something satisfying about repurposing a piece of history, growing your own food, and enjoying a little taste of simpler times.

The Ingalls family faced droughts, blizzards, crop failures, and uncertainty, yet they kept moving forward. Our challenges have looked different, but the lesson has been much the same: resilience matters.

As I celebrate my 65th birthday, I find myself grateful not only for the years behind us, but for the opportunities ahead of us. Through every challenge, you've encouraged us, supported us, and reminded us why we've stayed the course for nearly twenty years.

The Queen’s Treasures Mercantile is looking for a tech‑savvy, organized, detail‑oriented part‑time assistant to help with digital tasks behind the scenes.
Hours: 15–20/week
Pay: $16–$20/hr
Schedule: Flexible
Start: ASAP
Location: Ticonderoga, NY
This role requires strong computer skills and comfort working across multiple online platforms. You must be presentable and hlep in our retail store when needed.
Candidate MUST be able to:
-Navigate multiple websites and online systems confidently
-Learn new software quickly
-Work with product listings, images, and digital templates
-Stay organized and follow digital workflows
Daily tasks include:
-Creating product listings (FB Marketplace, eBay, Michaels, Target)
-Uploading items to our retail Square
-Updating our website
-Organizing product data
-Preparing compliance and spec sheet templates
-Supporting digital operations for our toy brand + mercantile store
-Updating images and descriptions
-Helping list antiques online
Ideal candidate:
-Strong computer skills
-Comfortable with multiple online platforms
-Detail‑oriented
-Reliable
-Able to work independently
-Computer Graphics experiece helpful
