🌙 Samhain has gone to bed, and the Wishweaver is wide awake.
The last pumpkin has been tucked in, the cauldron put away, and under a moon the color of buttered toast, the Wishweaver has hitched up her carriage and set off along the hill with a lantern swinging and a little fir tree riding behind her.
She has a great many wishes to gather: a dragon who only breathes warm cocoa, a pony who can do sums, a snowman who never has to melt. Each one gets a stitch of starlight and a curl of ribbon, and then it's all carried off to the sleeping houses.
If you hear wheels in the grass tonight, it's only her. Do leave a candle in the window. 🕯️✨
