Again, we have been very busy- not just at the store, but in life in general.
Our music mascot beginner, Shyla came up with tick fever and some other unheard of parasite- she has had to eat, in order to get the meds with food, but wouldn't eat. Came down to a major kitchen event, and cooking more than I would for a gourmet restaurant!!
Winter finally hit, and I've had firewood and heat to tend to, and opened another business called 'Ground to Glory', and I'm working hard on learning all I can about sourdoughs, and other delightful, healthy baked goods.
Music lessons are building, and although Randy can handle some, he can't do it all- so I am learning Dobro, and teaching dobro, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass...., jogging back and forth from home, to the vet, to the firewood... with Randy doing all he can to help me.
With the music store and the repairs busier, I've been going in and helping him set up instruments and do set-ups and some of the repairs.
Wouldn't change a thing!! :) Love all of our students, and will continue not cutting any corners on any set-ups or repairs! Might be a day later than we hoped for, but the instruments will still go out completely right!
Each guitar or instrument is completely unique, and we've found that there is no such thing as 'one size fits all- each one has different needs, and must be approached finding out just what will pull the very best sound out of that one- be it less costly, or the finest Martin or Taylor!
Now, I have a 'beginner mascot' to un-spoil! LOL
