First attempt at making a straw Witches hat. I wanted something light to wear in Summer and Spring when I am out in the garden, at a festival or at the beach or river! I learned a lot making the first one that will make future hats better. I wanted to play with some light and sorta over the top accessories! The mesh with embroidery flowers is such a fun piece to play with and my most helpful assistant really showcased the drama in the veiled look!!!! I am toying with the idea of dyeing the base hat black and the strips different colors to give the next one a striped hat. They are fun and easy to make! So many, many options for themes!!!

Gemstone collector’s find!
Large translucent aquamarine in an unusual tabular formation in mica matrix with UV reactive yellow fluorite specimen from Nagar Valley, Algit, Pakistan. Just under 1lb.

Aquamarine is the traditional birthstone for March. It's vibration is calming, reducing stress while it quieting the mind. It is a stone of courage, soothing fears and clearing confusion.
