Humble Beginnings
On Veterans Day 2016 T I M E L E S S AMERICAN® founder and owner Alex Hentnik handcrafted an American flag from scrap pallets as a gift for a hometown U.S. Army combat veteran. He happened to get another flag request, then another, and soon he found himself spending his free time building flags from various reclaimed materials for people around town. It sparked a passion and his 9-5 office job slowly began taking a back seat to his new hobby.
T I M E L E S S AMERICAN® was born in March of 2017. Alex moved from the saw horses in his fathers garage to a 1,200 square foot workshop. He designed a logo, business cards, created a website, and started actively promoting the brand more through social media. Business steadily increased and he had a wild idea to quit his job to travel the country promoting the brand. Less than a year later he left his nine to five. He bought a cargo van, loaded up with merchandise, and spent three months alone traveling the country pursuing the dream.
Since then T I M E L E S S AMERICAN® has evolved into a small business dedicated to giving back to the veteran community through creating quality American goods that are truly timeless. We donate 10% of all sales to veteran non-profit and we take pride in doing things different than other large scale companies. So when we say reclaimed we mean scavenging through debris to physically collect materials, when we say handcrafted we mean skillfully restoring those materials into nothing but the finest goods, and when we say timeless we mean passing those goods on from generation to generation.
It's time to look past the hundreds of copy-cat companies mass producing cheap products that all look identical and it's time to display something with character, something unique, something with a story... something T I M E L E S S AMERICAN®.
