Several new releases over the past couple of weeks are now on the site and in stock!

These bring our total number of products to 683! All in regular production, almost all in stock, and all consistent movers! Including FLV48001 F-16 vinyl fuselage plates and FLV48003 AV-8B canopy det cord, which were first released in 2005!

Tanya and I both thank you all for your continued support of Flying Leathernecks Scale Creations!

Okay, this is actually pretty promising!

The F/A-18 trailing edge flaps that were designed for the 1/48 Hasegawa kit, are an almost perfect match to the Academy 72nd kit when directly scaled down. The length of both the inboard and outboard flaps are the exact same length as the kit parts.

The only parts that don't line up are the flap hinges. However, simply filling in the holes/panel lines for the kit hinges and sanding them smooth will fix that minor issue.

Now I just need to scale down and print the flap covers and see how they fit!

Where are all of the 1/72 scale modelers?

FROM THE CURRENT CATALOG! Please do NOT ask for new items that aren't currently available in the line.

From our current catalog, what items would you like to see scaled down and released?

While I did a batch of flaps for the F/A-18, I still need to check how they fit on the Academy kit. These may or may not be released at this time.....depends on what changes, if any, need to be made to the designs.

All of the other items printed beautifully, but I still need to pack and get them on the site. Y'all can be a pretty vocal bunch when new items are announced, so let me hear what else (from the CURRENT catalog) you'd like to see.

It's that time again!

We'd like to hear your ideas, suggestions, or thoughts on what you'd like to see from us.

While the decals will always remain Marine Corps specific, we're looking at branching out a bit on the resin side. Now, before you start typing away, remember that 99% of our items are relatively simple and easy to use items. We're not interested in full conversions, or products that would have to be priced outside of our target price range. We do our best to keep our prices low and want to keep them that way!

Also, if you have reference material (photos, drawings, dimensions, etc.) on anything you suggest, please send them our way!

We're going to do our best to oblige!

A few new 1/72 items are now up on the web site.

I did make one change. The BRU-33A/A's have been given the same number as the 48th scale set. I'll correct the product image later. Also, decided to toss HARM on the printers yesterday as well.

So, the new releases are as follows :

FL172-2086 F-4 centerline adapter $6
FL172-2087 PMBR $8
FL172-2249 AGM-88 HARM for USN/USMC $10
FL172-2250 AGM-88 HARM for USAF $10
FL172-2261 BRU-33A/A CVER $8

I didn't get much done yesterday after deciding to work on the yard, so I'll try to get those new items up on the site today.

In the mean time, I've had a lot of help over the last few years from friends in the 3D printing area. So, I always try to share stuff I do hoping that it may help some of you.

I just did a calibration test on one of my Mars 3 Pros using Phrozen's Aqua Hyperfine Red.

Settings were .035 layer height at 2.25 second exposure. While the test came out really good, going to try a second one using 2.15 seconds.

If you haven't tried the Hyperfine resins, I highly recommend them. The graphite is really nice.
