What is Sensory play, and why is it so important?

Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates a young child's senses of touch, smell, taste, sight and hearing, as well as anything which engages movement and balance.

By introducing activities to your little one's 5 senses, you are supporting their language development, cognitive growth, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving skills, and social interactions!!!

So next time your going down the toy aisle, ask yourself, which toy will enlighten my child's senses?

🌾🌻 Garden Prep. Part 1 🌻🌾

Happy Wonderful Thursday! Thanks to this awesome weather we were able to start prepping our garden for the season.

Prepping your grow space is a great example for kids, plus they can help!

Just as in life, sometimes we must do some practicing, studying, or prepping before reaching the ultimate result.

For gardening, we must prep our soil. It is wonderful how plants from the year before leave some of their nutrients in the soil for the next plant! So for us to help out the next plants as well, we must flip/ stir/ mix our main soil. Add natural compost to your soil while you mix for an extra umph 👍🌻

* What is natural compost? Any nonprocessed food that is not eaten.
