This is a pretty surreal moment for me, and Not So Modern. was the very first person to purchase one of my cases, all the way back in March of 2021. She openly admitted that she placed the order after a few glasses of red, but she stuck it out with me!

A few days later I sent out my first build to Canada, and the rest is history. That case fostered a great friendship, where I still hop on calls with her and her husband every now and then to play guitar, and share what we’ve been working on!

Recently she reached out and told me, “David, I need another. But I want it to be the most unique case yet! What can you do?”. I never had once thought I’d get a repeat customer given the product I make, but I did, and it just so happened to be my very 1st one! So here it is! Melissa’s 2nd case!

I transformed a 1920’s/40’s era wardrobe case from , into a double kick suitcase. All heads, a vintage style bottle opener, and a beautiful handmade and designed luggage tag by , which she was kind enough to emboss with “ #1” and “M.A.” in honor of my very first supporter.

The feeling is unreal

This Red Samsonite 4932 is from some time around the 50’s and not only holds a handmade pedalboard, but acts AS a pedalboard! With rubber feet attached to both the pedalboard and the case, either play it directly from the case, or pull it out and play the standard way! Given this is my first one, I’m practically giving it away! DM me for details, or as always, hit my Etsy page!

I’ve never been able to connect with strangers more than through music. As most of you know, I’m not a busker by any means, but doing what I do, I support the craft. ❤️

I met Coda the other day, crossing the street downtown while trying to take some pictures. He called over to me and my friend , asking us to play with him while he took a break. We immediately got to it, and over the course of an hour switched turns playing for the people passing by and chatting about everything. Music, busking, his dreams, mine. He’s a traveler and immediately left for Lake Havasu after we left. Music unites all.
