Our Story...
The early years...
Dean discovered his love for all things homegrown while gardening with his Grand Mom, Grace. My heritage is Dutch. I was raised on a dairy farm, discovering chores and a deep appreciation for land early in life. When we met, Dean and I knew our passion for the earth and it's bounty would be part of our journey together. We spent our honeymoon on a working farm in T

uscany where they produce their own olive oil, sheep's milk cheese, wine and honey. We were so inspired that it motivated us to search for land to build our home and plant! We chose 6 acres in the rolling hills of De Luz, just west of Temecula, and lived (survived) onsite in a trailer while we built. We added Italian cypress trees and a variety of fruit trees. On to the garden, Dean said, "think big" 30' x 60'...enough to share with family and friends! Finally, the arrival of 620 baby olive trees! We selected 5 varieties of Tuscan olive trees for the production of olive oil and a few Kalamata olive trees...because Dean loves to cure table olives. We watched everything grow and prayed during every rainstorm! Each harvest is slightly different as the trees mature, so we can hardly wait to sample the new blend as soon as the first drops of olive oil are bottled! Our 2016 Tuscan Blend of "Dixon Estate" Extra Virgin Olive Oil was harvested, milled and bottled locally, to ensure a pure and authentic finished product, we often call it liquid gold.
