This morning my mind is wandering to those UCLA years, when DR - Dave Roberts - became an integral and talented part of the team. Each year, he became more gifted, determined and loyal,, giving his all to the Bruins. Over the years since, he has become a son who we never had ourselves, and the day he was named the Dodger manager, we were so very proud, not simply because of this accomplishment, but because of how far he had come and how hard he had worked. If you have never seen it before, Bing the video of his steal when he played with the Red Sox - propelling them to a WS win. EVERYONE on the planet knew he was stealing - and he stole. That exemplified his career to date, and the one to come. He never gives up - he loves his players. He is a godly man of faith, and of hard work and loyalty. We are so very proud of him - the picture of his fathers - both of them. Waymon, you must be looking down with pride and love today, and Eiko, thanks for raising up such a fine young man!
