THE PAINT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED. 🤣🙌

You know… the paint I’ve been waiting on for what feels like approximately three business years so I can finish those ribbon holders. 😂

Was I getting slightly impatient? Absolutely.
Did I check the tracking more times than a mentally stable person probably should? Also absolutely. 🤣
Am I actually mad? Nah. I order from a great company, they always take care of me, and sometimes s**t just happens. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BUT SHE’S HERE NOW. 🎨🙌

Which means those ribbon holders are officially back in business and I can FINALLY get some color on these damn things. 😂

And yes… apparently I needed enough gold paint to gild half of Oklahoma. Better safe than sorry. 🤣✨

Apparently today’s version of being productive was buying an entire trailer full of future problems. 🤣🤘🏼

We made a metal run and stocked up for some FUN outdoor projects coming up 👀🔥 because clearly I looked at the amount of s**t already on my list and thought, you know what this needs? MORE.

Other than that, today was mostly a design-from-the-AC kind of day. 🫠

Between this absolutely disrespectful heat and PT deciding yesterday was the perfect time to introduce some new exercises that are currently kicking my foot’s ass, I decided maybe we didn’t need to prove anything to the sun today. 😂

So we worked on designs, handled some of the boring behind-the-scenes s**t that needed done, picked up a small steel mill’s worth of metal, and tried to keep the outside activities to a minimum.

Don’t worry though… all that metal on that trailer has a plan next week. 😏🔥

🔥 🦊. THIS. HEAT. 🔥

My truck said 110° outside today and at this point I would just like to formally request that Oklahoma TURN THE 🦊ING HEATER OFF. 🥵😂

I may or may not have accidentally WAY overdone it in the heat last week… soooo I have officially been ordered to keep my ass out of the heat for a few days. Apparently melting yourself for the sake of metalworking and all the extra crap around here is frowned upon. Who knew? 🤷🏻‍♀️

BUT — staying out of the shop doesn’t mean we didn’t get s**t done today!

✔️ Picked up some supplies
✔️ Ordered MORE supplies because apparently I enjoy spending money
✔️ Tracked down why the damn gold paint for these ribbon holders that hasn’t shown up yet 👀
✔️ Worked on designs for the next set of trophies coming up 👀🔥

So no sparks today, but plenty happening behind the scenes!

And since Mother Nature has decided to personally attack us…

Today’s episode of WHY THE 🦊 IS IT THIS HOT OUTSIDE?! 🥵😂

Started the day putting up fence because apparently I enjoy making terrible life choices… and THEN decided it was a perfectly reasonable time to go work in the shop. 🤦🏻‍♀️

But we made some damn progress on the Clue Legacy Award. I have to say it just keeps getting better 🖤

She came out of her vinegar bath and got:
🔥 Sanded down
🔥 Bolts cut
🔥 Bolts welded to the back
🔥 Welds cleaned up
🔥 Front sanded AGAIN until she was nice and pretty
🔥 Wood backing sanded
🔥 Holes drilled
🔥 And the finish started on that absolutely GORGEOUS piece of wood 😍

Did I get video of all of it? Nope.

My phone finally said “🦊 you, I’m hot too” and quit cooperating. 😂 So you get pictures of the rest… including photographic evidence of what fencing + welding + grinding + sanding in Oklahoma heat does to a person.

That last picture is the face of a woman who has officially achieved MORE than enough swamp ass growth for one damn day. 🤣🥵💀

BUT LOOK AT THAT WOOD BACKING. 😍🔥
Once that metal and wood come together, this award is going to be something special.

We’re getting closer. 🖤🐾

This one is a little different. 🖤

Today we cut a piece that has a whole lot more meaning behind it than just another piece of steel.

I’m not going to tell the full story just yet — I want to save that for when this one is completely finished — but this is a very special award being made in honor of a pretty special dog. 🐾

For now, you just get to watch it come to life on the plasma table.

Sometimes we metal just because it’s cool.

Man, WHAT. A. DAY. 👀

Started the morning off with the husband having surgery, handled all of that chaos, and somehow we still managed to get a little metal work going. 🤘🔥

And by “managed,” I mean I went outside and immediately questioned every decision because THIS HEAT IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE. 🥵

I swear the sun wasn’t just shining today… it was going straight through my skin and actively trying to melt my damn bones. 😂☀️

BUT—we metal’d a little anyway.

This NASDA ribbon holder got cleaned up, all those tiny little Cavalier and gerbil details got handled, the little ribbon-holding hooks got bent out, she got wiped down, and finally got some primer! 🙌🔥

Then me and my sweaty ass officially decided THAT’S ENOUGH FOR TODAY. 🤣

Husband survived surgery.
The metal survived me.
I survived the sun.

Calling it a damn win. 😂🤘🔥

Next stop for this one: PAINT! 🎨

Today’s episode of Jigsaw Metal Works: I swear I did s**t today 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off ALL. DAMN. DAY.

Apparently the truck wanted some attention too, so getting a flat fixed got added to the list because why the hell not. 🙃

I did manage to sit down and work on a few new designs in between all the running around. Are they finished? Absolutely not. 😂 But there was progress, and at this point we are counting that s**t as a win.

Tomorrow the plan is to get these designs finished up and get back to making sparks, melting metal, and doing the stuff that actually gives me cool s**t to post. 🔥

Also, apparently it’s only Hump Day, which feels incredibly disrespectful because I am OFFICIALLY over this week. I don’t want to get over the hump — I would like to launch myself completely over Thursday, Friday, and the entire damn weekend and land directly in next week. 😂✌🏻

Between yesterday’s character building and today’s bulls**t, I feel like I have developed enough character. I am fully built. Construction is complete. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

And judging by this picture, Jiggy is over the s**t too. 😂 Apparently management has reviewed this week’s performance and would also like to skip directly to next week.

So no fancy metal reveal today. No dramatic transformation. Just me, a repaired tire, half-finished designs, one exhausted shop dog, and the audacity to call today productive. 🤣

The entire Jigsaw Metal Works staff has officially clocked the f**k out. ✌🏻😂
