Trophies are officially DONE! 🎉

I’m running on fumes and bad decisions at this point, so I promise I’ll get the finished video uploaded tomorrow. 😅

For tonight, just know there are a whole lot of sparkly trophies taking over the shop.

For now tiny sneak peak and I am going to crash 😴😴😴

Doctor said I can walk! 🎉

The catch? The bone still isn’t fully healed, so I’m supposed to take it pretty easy. The good news is I can finally put weight on it and move around again. The bad news? I’m currently faster on the stupid knee scooter than I am on my own two feet. 🤣

Even if I’m moving a little slower than normal, don’t worry—we’re still working on y’all’s metal and keeping orders moving through the shop. I just may not be running around at my usual feral pace quite yet.

I also want to say thank you. I never really thought about how much support would come from not only customers supporting my business, but from people supporting me personally through one of life’s less favorable seasons. The patience, encouragement, messages, and understanding have meant more than you know.

Y’all may also say a little prayer for my patience. Apparently “you can walk” and “take it easy” are supposed to exist in the same sentence, and I’m struggling to accept that. 😂

Now excuse me while I relearn how to walk without looking like a newborn deer. 🖤

🚨 TODAY IS THE DAY. 🚨

Currently headed to the doctor with one mission and one mission only:

GET.
THIS.
CAST.
OFF.

I’ve spent the last six weeks dragging this thing around, threatening it with metal shears, and plotting its demise. At this point, I think I’ve served my sentence. 🤣

Now, they might tell me I still can’t walk.
They might tell me I need a boot.
They might tell me I need to take it easy.

But there is a 0% chance I’m leaving with another one of these medieval torture devices wrapped around my leg.

I don’t care what the X-rays say.
I don’t care what the doctor says.
I don’t care if Randy and the doctor team up against me.

Today is either:
✅ Freedom Day

or

❌ The day we all find out how fast a shop gremlin can hobble through a parking lot.

Shop gremlin status: activated.
Negotiation skills: ready.
Patience: completely gone.

Wish me luck. 😈✌️

Also Pray for the Doctor,
Pray for my husband,
Pray for my Dad (my ride)
Pray for anyone who try’s to stand between me and my freedom day 😂😅

And stay tuned for some paint updates later… This morning’s paint job woke up and chose violence. There was cussing, a few questionable life choices, and a brief moment where I considered launching it across the shop, but I think I managed to save it. 🤣🎨

🚨 Monday Madness: Shop Science Edition 🚨

One of these is real rust.

One of these is paint pretending to be rust.

I may or may not have spent part of my day intentionally trying to make metal look old and neglected. 🤷‍♀️

Personally, I think I’m leaning toward the real rust. There’s just something about the randomness and depth that Mother Nature creates that is hard to duplicate. Every piece comes out a little different and has its own personality.

That said, the painted version gives a lot more control and consistency.

So now I need y’all’s opinions…

🦠 Team Real Rust

🎨 Team Faux Rust

Which one would you choose for your sign? 👇

Bonus points if you can guess which photo is the real rust and which one is the paint job. 😈🔥

Somewhere between trophy orders, dog seminar prep, and trying to survive on one leg, apparently I decided this was a good time to start experimenting with patinas too. 😅

😂🖤 Shop Update 🖤😂

Had to stop and kick the foot up for a minute… but the countdown is on! Tuesday is the day this cast finally goes! 🎉

In today’s episode of “Brittany probably shouldn’t be left unsupervised”…

⚡ The grinder decided it wanted a snack and tried to eat my finger. Thankfully, I firmly believe in thick gloves because that one second was way more exciting than I wanted it to be. 😳😂

🚗 Randy played with the Chevy for a tiny bit between all our other projects.

🛺 Meanwhile, I spent my time driving around on the Gator being an absolute nuisance to my husband and offering what I’m sure was top-tier supervision. 🤣

Now it’s back to the shop and getting some primer on metal because these orders aren’t going to finish themselves!

🌞 What did y’all get into on this hot, humid Sunday afternoon? Hopefully it was slightly less chaotic than ours… but honestly, where’s the fun in that? 😂🖤🔥

Personal Use Saturday: Apparently we’re adding ring sport hide construction to the business résumé now. 😂

These aren’t customer projects — they’re for our personal training field — but I’m pretty excited about them!

Since I’m still rocking the one-legged pirate life, Randy took the lead on building these hides while I supervised and offered highly professional advice such as, “that looks perfect!” 😅

I have to admit, they turned out pretty dang cool. It’s always fun taking an idea from “we need this for training” to an actual finished piece sitting out on the field.

So if anyone needs metal signs, trophies, dog sport equipment, custom fabrication, or apparently ring sport hide construction… we’re slowly building quite the résumé over here. 😂🐾⚒️

Now excuse me while I continue pretending I’m helping while Randy does the heavy lifting and I continue grinding on some trophies😅🤣

🚧 Unexpected Detour on Today’s To-Do List: 🚧

Wasn’t planning on adding “truck won’t start” to today’s agenda. 😅

I guess that’s the price you pay for owning a truck with one of the best engines ever made, while everything else is held together by hopes, dreams, and pure stubbornness. 😂

Luckily, I’m going to let my master mechanic of a husband argue with the truck while I hide in the shop and work on metal. 🔧🚚

Know where your skill sets are best used. 😂🤷‍♀️

I’ll stick to plasma cutters and welders. He can keep the gremlins under the hood. 😅🔥⚙️

🐾 Fun Fact Friday! 🐾

This is still one of my absolute favorite pieces I’ve ever made.

Most people only see the finished product, but this sign started as a logo and a bunch of ideas in Fusion 360 on how to bring it to life before becoming a pile of steel parts scattered around the shop. 😅

One of my favorite things about custom work is taking someone’s logo and bringing it to life. In this case, we took Joel Clercq’s logo and turned it into a layered metal piece complete with a Malinois, American flag, and all the details that make it uniquely his.

Swipe through the photos and you’ll see the whole journey:
🖥️ Design
🔥 Plasma cutting
⚙️ Cleanup and assembly
🎨 Paint
✨ Finished product

Fun fact: Sometimes I spend almost as much time staring at a project trying to decide if it’s finished as I do actually building it. 😂

What makes this one special to me is that it wasn’t just another sign—it was taking a logo and turning it into something that had depth, texture, and personality. Even now, it’s still one of my all-time favorite builds.

So, what’s your favorite stage? The design, the sparks, the paint, or the finished reveal? 👀

Also fun fact, back then (October last year) I didn’t realize the importance of taking good photos yet 😅😂🤦🏻‍♀️

👑👑👑 The crown army continues to grow! 👑👑👑

Still chipping away at this trophy order, and I figured y’all might enjoy another behind-the-scenes peek.

Today’s accomplishment? More crowns cut and ready for their next stage. It’s kind of wild how many individual pieces go into a bigger order like this. What starts as sheets of steel slowly turns into stacks of crowns, piles of parts, and eventually a whole lot of trophies headed to their new home.

Not gonna lie, my slower progress is like walking extremely slow behind people you can’t get around when in a hurry…. But Tuesday next week is the day walking starts and we are still getting things in the works until then!

Now let’s see if I can keep the paint flowing and the caffeine levels high enough to get the rest of these knocked out. 😅

👑 Current crown count: 9
😅 Remaining crown count: 3
☕ Coffee count: not enough

👑 Current status: Making tiny metal crowns because apparently we’re fancy now. 👑

Fresh off the plasma table and still rocking their “rusty shop goblin” look. 😅

These haven’t even seen a grinder, paint, or clear coat yet, but they’re already starting to look pretty dang cool. Give me a little time, some questionable amounts of pearl, probably too much glitter, and a healthy dose of caffeine, and these things will be ready for royalty.

The shop may be chaos.
My foot may still be filing formal complaints.
Jiggy may be supervising from a safe distance and contributing absolutely nothing.

But the metal keeps rolling out. 🔥

Stay tuned for the glow-up. These little crowns are about to go from “freshly cut steel” to “I need one of those on my shelf.” 👑✨
