We are very sad to hear about BB605 closing! We really appreciate the opportunity to sell our items there the past few months. Thank you Hailey!
You still have time to take a trip to Brandon and shop some amazing local vendors. Please remember to support small businesses and shop local! We really depend on it!
📣 Important Announcement from BB605 📣
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of BB605. After countless hours of dedication, creativity, and investment, we've made the difficult decision to close our doors. Unfortunately, the challenges of the past few months, including increasing operational costs and the overall economic environment, have made it increasingly difficult for us to sustain the business.
When we first started BB605 as a liquidation outlet, our goal was to provide the community with affordable, quality goods. We had a lot of fun as a bin store, but the liquidation market has changed so much over the past few years that many similar stores have had to close their doors or are fighting to stay alive. As the business grew and evolved, we made the decision to transition into a vibrant vendor mall, working with over 50 talented local vendors. Even with the addition of our auction website, the market has deteriorated so badly over the last year that I'm incredibly grateful we switched when we did. This transition allowed us to experience and showcase the unique artistry from our community, which has been a true highlight of this journey.
Shortly after we made the transition to a vendor mall, a customer made a comment that has stuck with me: “Businesses in Brandon never last.” While it was difficult to hear, it helped shape the decision we’re announcing today. There was potential to operate under half the space we currently have, but the economic challenges facing local businesses made it clear that this could be a risky move. Ours isn’t the only business struggling—it seems to be a common theme across our community this summer. I even heard of a local Brandon business that lost tens of thousands of dollars last year.
This is my plea to you: Please get out there and support local businesses! It is so important. Companies like Amazon and SHEIN are siphoning money out of our communities, and soon, you may find there’s nowhere left to shop in town. I’m choosing to get out before I’m too far underwater, but I urge you to support the businesses that are still here, fighting to survive.
Our last day of operation will be September 22nd. We encourage you to visit us one last time to support your favorite local vendors and to find that special item you may have had your eye on.
For our vendors, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your partnership and for trusting BB605 as your platform for sharing your passion with the community.
Although I will deeply miss the interactions with our amazing customers and vendors, I want to share that I am personally at peace with this decision. It will allow me more time to focus on myself, my family, and my children, and to pursue a new venture that I’m truly excited about. Over the last two years, I have poured everything into this business, often putting my own needs aside. Now, it’s time for me to take a step back and focus on what matters most to me.
My children are sad about this decision as well, as they have very fond memories of coming to the store and interacting with our wonderful customers. Rest assured, these days will hold very special memories for my family for years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you for every single purchase since the beginning—what a wild ride it has been.
We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. While it’s a bittersweet farewell, we are proud of what we’ve built together and the memories we've created.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Let’s make these final days at BB605 ones to remember.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Hailey ♥
