A nautical palette doesn't need to be heavy on white-ish or sandy colors. Just take in this by-the-sea coastal suite- can you smell the salty air? 🌊

Azure Blue is clean and calm, airy on its own- and a perfect canvas for deep navy ink. Printed directly onto a #30 vellum gate card in nautical stripes, we have an invitation as light as a gentle sea breeze.

We brought in Cobalt to give the pieces contrast and depth of color. Fair Azure Blue and deep Cobalt make such a stunning pair (look at that white-ink printed envelope!)- and with a few well-placed shells and gracefully curved edges (allll the custom shapes!), the whole suite is as soft as it is formal. 🐚

Oh, Opal. From oh-so-soft to opulent, this shimmery off-white shows up in more of our suites than almost any other color- and it hardly ever gets the caption.

So today, it does. Opal takes its cues from whatever it’s paired with- no two suites wear it the same way. Here it is, four ways.

🤍 With Dusty Blue, Taupe, and Dusty Sage, Opal settles all the way down. Calm and muted- a baby shower palette that keeps everything gentle.

🤍 Cipria stripes and a punch of Chartreuse wake it right up, with Jungle keeping the green grounded. Fresh and playful- a garden party bridal shower.

🤍 Against Dusk, with Mid Green and Fern, it turns sweet and charming- airy, fragrant florals with butterflies for a touch of whimsy.

🤍 And with Forest, Chartreuse, and Dusty Rose, it goes formal. The deepest contrast of the four- and the Opal invitation card keeps the spotlight, glowing against the rest.

Do you have a favorite palette that includes Opal? We’d love if you’d share it with us all in the comments.

We talk about a lot of invitation suites around here, but today’s feature is a little bit different- just how can you resist these precious snail prints?! 🐌

Like all of her linocut designs, this sweet little friend was meticulously hand carved and hand pulled by Carrie Groppi- every print a slow labor of love. It leaves a winding starry ribbon of slime trail behind- colored inks layered on colored paper, with the olive and baby blue right at home against the soft green of our Text Weight Pistachio.

This print has already become a favorite among fellow snail enthusiasts- and there’s exactly one place to find it right now. It’s a limited run, sold only through the Marigold Press vending machine inside . The machine grew from Carrie’s belief that beauty should be accessible- so if you happen to be near Nashville, you’ll want to stop by with a pocketful of quarters. Four in, one surprise print out- and since Electric Mixer is Nashville’s one stop party shop, we’re sure the print won’t be the only thing you leave with.

Snails aside, you can check out Carrie’s art prints, greeting cards, tote bags, sun catchers, and seasonal collections at and marigoldpress.org- all made in Nashville, Tennessee ✨

Summer just got STICKIER ☀️ Introducing High Gloss Sticker Paper — now available as a paper option in our Custom Printed Laser-Cut Shapes!

Pick your sheet size (5.25"x7.25" or 9"x10.75"), upload your design with cut lines, and you get stickers. Non-sticky projects still welcome — over 200 Colored Cardstock options remain on the menu too.

Fun fact: 146 actual stickers were stuck on 146 actual surfaces in the making of this video.

A few things to know:
Stickers need a 3/16" margin between each other when ganged on a sheet. They're contour cut (not kiss-cut), so no backing sheet. And while they can survive a splash, High Gloss isn't waterproof — skip it for water bottles or anything that needs a wash.

If your search results for the color “sage” are coming up a bit confusing- you’re not alone. The word gets used to describe everything from pale gray-green to deep olive, which means the sage you imagine isn’t always the sage that shows up. It really comes down to two things- undertone (warm or cool) and value (light or deep)- and shifting either one can change the whole feel of the color. So we thought we’d put three of our colors that we consider part of the “sage” family side by side- a little get-to-know-you.

🌲 Mid Green is a grounded sage. Warm, deep, a little olive- soft and earthy or rich and formal, and it holds beautifully in darker or candlelit spaces. The sage that leans elevated.

💚 Our Dusty Sage is a soft sage- the lightest of the three, slightly grayed, airy in photos and flattering with almost any palette. The sage that softens a room. (In our humble opinion, the perfect sage. 😉)

🌿 Eucalyptus is a fresh sage. Garden sage. A cooler, crisper green that loves white and cream florals. The sage for a bright spring day

Which “sage” are you reaching for?

Before guests ever saw the view, they held it in their hands.

designed this laser cut invitation around the Columbus skyline- the same view that greeted guests at the couple's wedding venue. The rest of the suite holds the same sharp black and white: white ink on the reply card, double-ruled borders, an interlocking monogram. 🤍

Shay crafts her fine art wedding stationery to paint the picture of a celebration well before it arrives. She's been designing out of Bowling Green, Ohio since 2012, and in addition to carefully designed invitations, her work includes such lovelies as watercolor venue illustrations, day-of pieces, and even signage. Find her at ✨

One more reason to cheer for Shay- she was the stationer behind a recent event at The Toledo Club that was just featured on Green Wedding Shoes, the longtime wedding publication. Congratulations from C&P to her and the whole creative team! 🥂
