Hey folks! OPEN! 12-5pm Wednesday thru Saturday, we are up and running for the holidays!🎁. At Creative Salvage and Alcove Books you will find a vast collection of interesting objects. Our stores, located in two buildings at 306 and 402 Chestnut Street in Tarboro you will find a 15,000 volume used bookstore, an art gallery, craft supplies, old photographs, various forms of antique paper, stamps, miscellaneous gifts and other collectibles. Our original store offers furniture, household items, tools and an abundance of items that you never thought you’d need. Between the two stores we offer 10,000 square feet of shopping adventure. Both stores are right next to each other on Chestnut Street right around the corner from the intersection of Albemarle and Howard.

Hey folks! We have opened our Christmas Shop a week early this year ahead of Black Friday. We have a forest of Christmas trees! 🎄🌲🎄They range in size from table tops to one ten foot monster tree. We also have wreaths and ❄️ornaments❄️ and all sorts of decor items. This is your chance to save a bundle by picking up used trees 🌲 wreaths , and decorations. We also have all sorts of gifts 🎁 🎁🎁🎁 ranging from tools 🛠️ to housewares to DRONES and various electronic gadgets. Next door at the Alcove we have an abundance of books, paintings, pictures, prints and antique paper. We just received a huge collection of OLD MONEY including old CURRENCY from around the world. We are working 🏃‍♀️‍➡️furiously 🏃‍♂️to get it out where you can see it. Most of it will be in the original store, with a few selected items in the ✨new store ✨at 306 Chestnut Street, Tarboro NC. Hi Folks! BIG NEWS from Creative Salvage. After months of work, our new store is ready to open! “Alcove Books, Fine Art, and Collectibles” will OPEN for regular hours this Friday, October 25, at 12:00 noon. Going forward, our hours will be the same as Creative Salvage. 🌟We are located at 306 Chestnut Street right next door to the main store. We will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 to 5:00. This new store is beautiful. We offer Books, fine art, and all sorts of collectibles. You will find fascinating Old Magazines and newspapers going back to 1820, maps, old greeting cards, Postcards, Stamps, and Coins ✨. All this is set up in a cozy, 🤗friendly place where you can get comfortable, hang out, and visit.
Additionally, we carry Paintings, Antique Paper, Old Letters, Antique Bottles, Civil War Papers and Ephemera, and Prints! Come explore a treasure trove of history and art.🎨

Hy Folks! Open today 12-5pm. NEWS Update from Creative Salvage: Creating a new store 🏬 is a HUGE project. We have been working hard to set up the new one and to move selected inventory out of the old one. When we are done we will be offering 10,000 square feet of everything from housewares to tools to fine collectibles. When we are done this place will be a destination shopping experience. The problem is that we are not done ✅ YET.
Our new store, right next to our old one, is going to open in phases. Right now the book 📕 section is total chaos.
Our BIG NEWS today is that post cards, stamps, and antique paper 📄 can now be viewed. So if you are interested in stamps, post cards, or antique paper feel free to visit us at 306 Chestnut Street.
