there are four basic types of peanuts, each distinctive in size, flavor, and nutritional composition? 🥜

1. Runner peanuts have rapidly gained wide acceptance because of their uniform kernel size, and are often used for peanut butter.

2. Virginia peanuts have the largest kernels, and account for most of the peanuts roasted and processed in-shell.

3. Valencia peanuts usually have three or more small kernels to a pod and are covered in a bright-red skin. They are very sweet and excellent for fresh use as boiled peanuts.

4. Spanish peanuts have smaller kernels covered with a reddish-brown skin, and are predominantly used in peanut candies.
