We are a local Market & Cafe that provides a wide variety of groceries, hardware (all sections), pain We have an ATM, a copier, and a fax.

The Other Store carries hardware, paint, groceries and (seasonally ) local produce. We offer gifts, cards, toys, electrical, plumbing and outdoors/garden supplies, books, stationery, cards, and penny candy. Our Cafe serves a limited daily menu as well as great ice cream. We're open 8-3 Wed-Sun.

Join a gathering of friends and neighbors to salute a unique community institution!

Our current version of The Other Store has been supported by and part of Tamworth for three decades. It's the place to get your morning coffee, your Conway Daily Sun, your afternoon ice cream cone and your conversation and connection with your neighbors. It's been there for us when we run out of something mid project or mid recipe. Everyone who has worked there, eaten there, and made friends there has made it what it is. That's something to celebrate!

Come prior to 2 pm to enjoy vintage pictures of our community creating and enjoying The Other Store through the years, add to The Other Store memory book, greet your neighbors and have a piece of cake!

Do you love hardware?

The Other Store is looking for a buyer for our full hardware inventory!

The Other Store in Tamworth Village, known for always being there when you need a bolt, a battery or a bulb, is now looking for a neighbor with a deep appreciation of tools, hardware, plumbing, paint, etc. to liquidate our hardware department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a local (or locally connected) individual or team to start a new business aligning with their interest, knowledge and skills or for an individual who sees an opportunity to liquidate the inventory at a profit!

If you or anyone you know is interested, please call the store at 603-323-8872 or just stop by. We’d love for this inventory to continue to serve the local community. All reasonable offers will be considered!

Good news - Dennis & Davey are back! They were rained out on July 4th but we unexpectedly had an open date this week. We know their fans are very happy! And this time it will be RAIN or SHINE ...... come join us tomorrow, Sunday, August 1, 3-5pm.

We extend a special thank you to our two Season Sponsors: Jerry Knirk & Cam Spence, and Wyatt Berrier "your local real estate professional" ❤ and to our two show sponsors The Preserve and Valerie May. Thank you for supporting our local musicians!

As mentioned above, our concerts are now RAIN or SHINE. In the event of RAIN we will be in the little barn by the river - a sweet spot for a show, with an intimate feel and great acoustics. We feel that with the windows open for air circulation and the audience comfortably distanced according to their needs we can gather in the barn.... and spill out the back...

BYO blankets and/or chairs if you can; kids & dogs welcome; seating on the deck; some chairs will be set up on the lawn; plenty of shade. A suggested donation of $3-5 is split between The Other Store and the Band to help support the series. Our ICE CREAM window will be open for lots of sweet treats 🍧 and let's not forget about our locally made PIE and our specialty home-made ICE CREAM SANDWICHES.

P.S. We are sorry that Swamp Dog can't make it this summer. He bought a whitewater rafting business that runs out of Errol, NH and couldn't make it down this far south on a mid-summer Sunday afternoon.... another time!

Our concert schedule has changed just a bit: Swamp Dog can't make it on August 1st because of his White Water Rafting business up in Errol, NH (high season right now in the rafting business!)..... so we called up Dennis & Davey - they were rained out on July 4th - and they can make it! So pass the word..... Dennis and Davey this weekend!

Cormac is back! This week’s Concert by the River features guitarist/singer/songwriter Cormac McCarthy - prepare yourself for a journey - he tells great stories through his music and his humor! Come join us Sunday, July 18, 3-5pm behind The Other Store in Tamworth Village.

The concert is SHINE only so check this FB page if there is any question about the weather - fingers crossed!
