Our Story

The year 2014, was the first full year when I didn’t have a full time job... in a really long time. I had left my teaching job in November 2013. For Christmas 2014, I decided to use some of my free time to make some homemade gifts and whipped up a few totes to give both as gifts and gift bags. I really enjoyed it and surprisingly, the items didn’t come out half bad! So the next month, January of 2015, Sew Envious Creations was born! I set up a shop on Etsy, some social media accounts and off we went.

Although this is really still more of a hobby than a business that will ever pay all the bills, it’s exciting to see items we’ve made go out to people all over the country and world. Since my hands are apparently stupid, my mom does all the crocheting that shows up on the page and shop. Her skull blankets have definitely been our most popular and sought after item; often getting backlogged for months. This year, it seems like the most popular item I’ve been making are Mickey Mouse placemats for different holidays. I especially love making Harry Potter and other character themed items. My favorite creation this year, has probably been the children’s matching apron and chef hat sets.

We are always willing to take custom orders and requests if it’s something we can accommodate. Now that our busy cattle show season is over, new items should start popping up on a weekly, if not daily basis.
