🦋 Four years of being part of something truly special.

There are certain events we look forward to every year, not just because of the beautiful designs we get to create, but because of the people and the purpose behind them.

For the past four years, Florist Fire has had the privilege of being part of Redefining Refuge’s annual galas, and this organization has become incredibly near and dear to our hearts.

For those who may not be familiar, Redefining Refuge is a Tampa Bay nonprofit dedicated to advocating for and supporting children who have experienced sexual exploitation and trafficking. Through specialized care, education, awareness, and community partnerships, they are helping children heal and build brighter futures.

And we have to take a moment to recognize Natasha Nascimento, the incredible woman behind this mission.

Natasha, we absolutely adore you. Your passion, strength, compassion, and relentless commitment to these children and our community are inspiring beyond words. Watching the impact you and your team continue to make year after year is something truly special.

As a creative business, we spend so much of our time focused on making things beautiful. But opportunities like this remind us that the most meaningful part of what we do isn’t always what we create with our hands. It’s what we get to be part of with our hearts.

To Natasha, the entire Redefining Refuge team, and everyone who continues to support this important mission, thank you for allowing us to be part of it for the past four years.

I’ve spent years learning the rules of floral design… which means I’ve also earned the right to break a few. 😂🔥

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at one of our bridal design mockups!

One of my favorite things about the creative process is that nothing has to be completely conventional. We experiment, move things around, play with unexpected combinations, and sometimes decide that the “rules” just aren’t working for the vision.

Because understanding design principles is important, but knowing when to push past them is where things get interesting.

At Florist Fire, we’re not interested in creating the same wedding over and over again. We’re interested in creating something that feels entirely yours.

A little rule-breaking never hurt anyone. 🖤

From the first sketch to the final candle, our team designed, produced, and installed every detail of this celebration. Soft coastal textures, layered florals, natural rattan accents, and a palette inspired by the Gulf created a space that felt elegant, effortless, and completely personal to them.
