Hi! I’m Kristen, the person behind Allegory Weddings. I love bringing candlelit weddings to life. There’s something about the ambiance and flickering movement of candles that takes me back to a simpler time - nostalgic, warm, and gathering around a table with your loved ones. I get that feeling every time I walk into a wedding and see hundreds of flickering candles, people laughing and dancing, all there to celebrate love. I’m grateful I get to do something I love 🤍

Highlighting a new addition to our candle rental inventory: the Nantucket style pillar candle holder. These are so fun and so timeless, they belong in a Nancy Meyers movie. They’re perfect for coastal weddings and are a unique way to display pillar candles. They work best styled on tables like a table lamp or small floral arrangement, they take up space and you don’t need a ton of them to make an impact, which is great.

Highlighting a new addition to our candle rental inventory: the gold LED table lamp. I absolutely LOVE these. I’ve received so many inspo photos from brides with these table lamps, so I finally went for it and added them to our inventory. They pair so well with candles, especially, if there are minimal florals or small bud vases. They also go with many aesthetics: moody and romantic or outdoor garden party.

Highlighting a new addition to our candle rental inventory: the crystal glass 5 arm candelabra. These are stunning and have a huge wow factor at 38” tall. Perfect for adding dimension to round tables in my opinion.

The BIGGEST reason I wanted to start carrying these is because they allow real flame, the hurricane shades are glass. Many candelabras online have acrylic shades, which are great for transport and breakage but they don’t allow real flame, only LED. I’ve had brides buy their own candelabras and come to find out they can’t have real flame and they’re so disappointed, so I wanted to start carrying an option for them if their heart is set on having real candles at their wedding.

A photo from my own wedding back in 2023, where I wanted all candles for my wedding and couldn’t find a vendor to achieve my vision of 600+ candles. So I did what a lot of brides do, I tried to DIY it and it was a struggle. It all worked out but setting up and tearing down 600 candles at the end of the night is not fun.

Like most small businesses, this is how Allegory started, born from a problem that I had and now want to solve. Having candles at your wedding doesn’t have to be a struggle and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Because I’ve gone through this, I know it can be confusing/frustrating when you get quoted $10 for a single votive candle and you think I can buy 24 on Amazon for the same price? That’s why I’m doing things differently, Allegory’s rental prices are the same or less than sourcing the candles and glassware yourself, and you’ll have an expert doing the setup and teardown so you can truly enjoy your day.

Hi 👋🏼 for anyone new here, I’m Kristen, the owner of Allegory Weddings.

I fell in love with making candles years ago and started my own candle brand (Bridgford Candle Co) in 2020. Then in 2023 I was planning my wedding and being the candle fan that I am, I wanted all candle tablescapes at my wedding. But I couldn’t find a vendor that specializes in just candles, which ultimately led me to starting Allegory, where I specialize in making candle moments for weddings - whether that be the full candle tablescape look for the reception or a candle favor with your own custom fragrance. I love what I do and getting the opportunity to help brides bring their candlelit wedding vision to life makes it all worth it!
