📚 Unearth a Story at the Broward County Library 21st Annual Children’s BookFest TOMORROW!
The Annual Children’s BookFest is the official kickoff for the Broward County Library 2026 Summer Learning Program: Unearth a Story. This free family festival at West Regional Library in Plantation offers attendees the chance to be among the first to register for the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge and pick up a free book while supplies last.

The day-long celebration features a wide variety of performances, including cultural dances, magic shows, musical sing-alongs, and theatrical fairytale adventures. Families can engage in hands-on creativity through art workshops, STEAM activities, and the unique opportunity to paint a real fire truck. From pirate lore and puppet storytelling to genealogy workshops for teens and adults, the event provides interactive learning experiences for every curious mind while allowing visitors to meet local authors and connect with community partners throughout the library.
