Hope everyone is getting out to enjoy this wildly good weather. We headed down to Rattling Creek in Lykens and put a couple miles down. It was so nice to have our buddy back and see him lead the pack again.

Before you embark on an e-bike adventure, think about performing some pre-ride checks to guarantee your bike is in optimal working condition:

1. Check the Battery Level: Ensure your battery is fully charged. You don’t want to find yourself stranded with a dead battery mid-ride.
2. Verify Brake Functionality: Confirm that the brakes are in good working condition, with no missing parts or indentations.
3. Inspect the Wiring: Loose wiring can pose safety risks. Before riding, make sure all wiring is secure and that there are no loose connectors.
4. Examine Your Tires: Assess your tire pressure and inspect for any visible punctures to prevent a flat tire later.
5. Review the Chain: Bike chains can wear down over time. Check for any signs of damage and clean it as necessary.

E-bikes generally require more maintenance than other bikes, and can make noises that will indicate what’s wrong. Not all noises will show the definite cause, but they will give you somewhere to start looking. Still if your bike won’t stop making an off-putting noise or if you’re not sure how to fix it, it’s best to leave it up to the professionals.
