We have learned that time has a way of slipping through our fingers before we even realize it.
One day you’re rocking babies to sleep, and the next they’re chasing dreams of their own. The laughter around the house or dinner table becomes cherished memories, loved ones grow older, and seasons of life quietly change.
Maybe that’s one of the reasons old things mean so much to me. An antique isn’t just an old piece of furniture or a faded keepsake—it’s a reminder that time leaves behind stories worth remembering. Every worn corner, or that old clothesline & pin. Every scratch, or that rickety porch swing. Every weathered finish or even an old oak tree tells stories of lives lived, hands that worked, families that gathered, and moments that mattered.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: don’t wait for “someday.” Make the phone call. Sit on the porch a little longer. Hug your family a little tighter. Watch the sunset. Tell people you love them. Slow down enough to notice the blessings God places in front of you every single day.
We can’t stop time, but we can choose how we spend the moments we’ve been given. Those moments become the memories that last a lifetime—and someday, they’ll become the stories future generations treasure, just like the old pieces that remind us where we’ve been.

Life is precious. Time is a gift from God. Let’s cherish every moment and never forget that the greatest treasures aren’t always found in antique shops—they’re found in the memories we create along the way. ❤️
