Deagan No.844 Drummer’s Special 3 octave xylophone bars repaired, re-finished and re-tuned for one of our customers. This set of xylophone bars is probably from the 1920’s with stamped patent dates from 1916.

Just completed a special 6 octave (extra top octave) marimba with Honduras Rosewood bars and composite resonators and a low-end breakaway frame for easy movement through small doorways. One of only two frames like this in existence! I will add a few sound clips in the comments.

Can water damaged marimba bars be repaired like new? If you send them to the right place, yes! (Deagan No.36 4 octave marimba bars refinished and retuned by Coe Percussion, LLC)

A super nice Deagan Imperial No.64 came in my shop for some new bar post insulators new bar cord, and general cleanup. It even had the original music stand!! I think I’ve seen maybe two instruments outside of a museum that still had the stands. A great little 4 octave instrument from 1938! Elected not to retune the instrument since it was still in fabulous shape and only being used for home practice.

Keeping these instruments alive. Deagan Artists’ Special 264 4 octave xylophone keyboard before and after refinish and retune. This particular keyboard had a manufacture date of 1920.
