The CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park features a 600-yard rifle range with targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards, a 100-yard multi-purpose range and a 50-yard pistol range. It also includes 15 action pistol bays and a trap field, 5-stand field and a 15-station sporting clays field, all with automated trap machines.

CMP Triples Attendance at 2026 Talladega Premier Expo Event

TALLADEGA, Ala. – On June 27, the CMP hosted its third Premier Expo, an outdoor tradeshow held across the 500 acres of Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama. The event featured over 30 leading industry vendors, doubling from previous Expo events, and tripled the attendance – reaching nearly 400 individuals from 12 different states.

Set across the 500 acres of CMP’s Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama, the Expo features exhibitors from trusted marksmanship companies like Faxon Fi****ms, Hornady, G***K and others, all showcasing a variety of products available on the market today.

Guests to the Expo were able to personally interact with vendors and to experience hands-on access to current product lines. Those in attendance were also able to take products from the display table to the range to test upon Talladega’s Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Action Bay and Unknown Distance areas.

A reminder to reserve your spot at the 2026 Talladega 600 event, set for Nov. 7-15!

Known as “A Southern Classic,” the Talladega 600 is open to adults and juniors of all experience levels – even those who have never competed before!

The mix of recreation-oriented CMP Games rifle and pistol events alongside more challenging matches (and a Shotgun Two-person Loop Match) provides a little something for everyone.

The lineup also includes educational opportunities, like our Marksmanship 101 courses for rifle and pistol.

Mark your calendars for Aug. 14 as we host our next M1911 In-Person event in Anniston, Alabama!

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at CMP’s 1911 Facility (1800 Roberts Dr.), with Service Grade, Field Grade and Rack Grade pistols available.

The CMP 1911 Program offers genuine U.S. military-issued, field-tested M1911A1 pistols. Each firearm is inspected and test fired, ensuring collectors and enthusiasts receive a quality piece of American history.

Required items:
✅ U.S. Citizenship and Age (Birth Certificate, Passport, etc,)
✅ Membership in CMP Affiliated Organization
✅ Copy of Valid Driver’s License
✅ State Application Documents (if applicable)
✅ FFL Shipping details

The range is home to 15 bays, each facilitating a number of local, state and national events all year long.

Regular matches include USPSA, G***K GSSF and other action-based, barrier events that challenge even the most experienced competitors!

With plenty of parking onsite, spectators are also welcome to check out this hidden spot that’s always filled with fun, exciting competition unlike any other found in the realm of marksmanship.
