This sophisticated violin was made here in our shop by Ricardo Perez Montoya, who trained first at the violin-making school in Cremona, and then in Parma with the legendary Renato Scrollavezza, who was entrusted with the care of "Il Cannone," Paganini's famous Guarneri Del Gesu.
This violin, named "Arturo" by its maker, is especially notable for two characteristics: First, the sound is what most players are seeking - lush & sinuous, but also powerful with strong projection. Second, it is very comfortable to play, with a slim neck, meticulously profiled fingerboard, and intelligently shaped bridge. The violin was made on a personal model, with a clear Guarneri basis.
