Hello, this page is defunct! Comics and Pizza Club has evolved into the graphic novel book club at Destiny City Comics. I'll be deleting this page eventually. Our next meeting is Thursday, August 27 when we will be discussing Age of Bronze Vol. 1, a graphic novel set in the Trojan War by award winning cartoonist Eric Shanower. Announcement! Going to make some big changes to the book club as we know it.

Last night's meeting was a big hit even though it was really complicated to get the book. Thanks everyone who made it!!

Comics and Pizza Club will slowly phase out of being it's own page and all future posts and announcements will be on the Destiny City Comics Page.

After March's scheduled meeting, we're going to have meetings on *Thursday* nights to hopefully allow for better traffic.

Since the club has been getting more interest, after (or perhaps during) March's meeting we're going to be hosting discussions more often than once per month! Hopefully this will allow for more diverse selections!! It's been a long time since we've done a manga title, for one thing. Might also be good for serialized volumes, such as the highly popular Saga, Vol. 4.

Also, going to start planning these out a bit further in advance! For the main monthly meetings we'll do: Peter Panzerfaust Vol. 1, Attack on Titan Vol 1, Revival Vol 1, Great Pacific Vol 1, Batman: The Killing Joke, and Wonder Woman Chronicles Vol 1. We'll probably squeeze in a few more in between those, but those will be the main attractions for Feb-August.

Unfortunately Revival is currently out of print! We won't be able to get copies for the club in time for February's meeting. I suggest we switch to Peter Panzerfaust, Vol. 1 unless there are any objections or alternate suggestions! I'll update the event listing tomorrow.

Shipment mishaps have made this title a tough one to get in stock at Destiny City Comics this month. I won't be getting a good supply in until the Wednesday before the book club meeting (which is a Friday!). Put it on reserve now to ensure you get a copy... or find an alternative means of getting the book so you have time to read it!

Comics and Pizza Club member Brenton suggests Warren Ellis' "Trees" for our March book club selection. Thoughts? The paperback comes out February 11 and it's priced at $14.99.

ComicsAlliance reviews Warren Ellis and Jason Howard's 'Trees' #1 from Image Comics, which challenges the horrors humans are willing to accept as commonalities.
