Oooooo these inserts were a JOY to pull out of the fire. My client’s son had just started his journey into the Harry Potter books and I was stoked to work on this custom Hedwig with a Hogwarts letter, the sorting hat, and Hagrid’s squashed and terribly misspelled birthday cake. Not Harry Potter related was the child’s beloved bike as well ⚡️

It’s that time of the year, and I’m trying something a little different. I’m taking PRE ORDERS for advent rings. The listing is live in my shop. I would highly recommend taking advantage of this now before the holiday season is in full swing. It brings me so much joy to watch my pieces come to life in their new homes. Seeing families gather around them, light the candles, and say a prayer. I feel connected to each of them from afar this holiday season. An unexpected result after the long process of conception, creation, and distribution- to still feel their pulse after they have long left my hands. Thank you, to people like who let me catch glimpses of them in their new families. Isn’t her table a sight?

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14 🕯 The season of Advent has begun! Growing up as a pastor’s kid, we knew this season of waiting well, and the rituals-like lighting the candles of our Advent wreath- are deeply held and cherished. This Sunday at church was always one of my favorites: we officially got to sing all the “good hymns”, the church was decorated to the nines with poinsettias and the same festive alter cloths were donned every year. I could usually count on better sweets after the service this time of your as well and remember spending a lot of time wondering what part I would play in the Christmas pageant this year. Joy, wonder, hope, family, LIGHT! Oh come, oh come, Emmanuel!
