Good morning everyone
Looks like there is a new airline category. First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class, Economy Class, and a new one Subeconomy Class. Here you get a slightly better price , but you will have to check your bags and get only one carry-on item and it has to fit under your seat. You will not be able to take a backpack and a rolling piece of luggage on the plane. The airlines say it will speed up the boarding process and reduce injuries.
I can see passengers gaming the system with a new product that was just introduced. Here is a link to a perfect product for this kind of travel. Stuffa is a new company that makes jackets and vests that can hold as much clothing as a regular carry-on bag. Let me know if you need more information.

Just finished with a new customer. We discussed how to protect his valuables in his suitcase. I explained that I always use TSA approved combination lock on my bags. Both carry-on and checked. I know that the lock will not keep out anyone who really wants to get into my bag.
Just like the lock on your front door. But I told him that when I check a bag through, when I pick up the bag I always look to see if my bag still has the lock attached. If it is missing it tells me to check it before I leave the baggage area. I roll my bag to the attendant and tell him my bag is missing the lock. If anything is missing I can then make a claim for the missing item. You lose the option to make a claim, when you walk out of the airport. Peace of mind is important when I travel. Having a plan when things go wrong is nice.
