That little blue crown on this 1-gallon stoneware jug is a piece of American pottery history.

The Ransbottom brothers began producing pottery in Roseville, Ohio, in 1901, specializing in practical stoneware made for everyday use.

By 1916, they were the largest manufacturer of stoneware jars in the world! 🤯

In 1920, Ransbottom Brothers merged with Robinson Clay Products, becoming Robinson-Ransbottom Pottery Co.

Pretty cool for something you might just walk right past at the market. 🤎
