This year (2013) we will plant 1 1/2 - 2 acres of sweet corn and about 1 acre of vegetables. We are excited to get to use our new high tunnel (hoop house) that will extend our growing season. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, such as, lettuce, spinach, carrots, beets, onion, leeks, peppers, potatoes, green beans, summer squash, acorn squash, okra, and of course tomatoes. Our customers are part
icularly fond of our many varieties of heirloom tomatoes. We have some in the high tunnel that should be ready in May followed by the outside ones in June. We currently have 120 hens laying eggs. We also have 150 pullets hatched the second week of February which should start laying in July.
