Our nursery is overflowing with new plants this week! Container plants, herbs, a few veggies and even larger plants like hydrangeas, boxwood and hostas! Rainy days are a great time to buy plants. It’s cooler and the plants won’t get stressed in a hot car. I love to plant on rainy days and let the rain water them in! The shop is open today 11-5, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 11-5. Stop in and see what’s new!

Our Spring postcard has finally arrived and it was just in time to match the dogwood blooming in the garden! I was a little undecided about how many classes I’d have time for this Spring. We aren’t doing a lot because there are so many other events happening in our family this Spring and Summer. We will be doing painting in the garden on the first Sunday of every month. Since the first Sunday in April falls on Easter and the shop will be closed, we will set up tables for painting on the second Sunday in April. You can also sign up for Planted Junk 101- a beginner container class. Or stop by on April 30th and make a May Day Bouquet for yourself or a friend. If there are flowers left over the flower bar will be available May 1st as well. I’ll also be partnering with who will be doing classes in our garden. Follow Savannah for more information. And don’t forget - Trash to Treasures is May 23rd! Sutter Creek will be overflowing with antiques and vintage finds, handmade items, Farmers Market and more!! So get your calendar out and save some dates to !

Thank God for the rain last night! We’ve had a really warm dry Spring in Northern California - our green hills are turning brown months earlier than they should. So many things bloomed early and faded fast. We had a good soaking rain last night. I was opening up our chicken coop this morning and had to snap a picture of my big white lilac. I thought about cutting all the blooms before the rain - glad I waited because it looks so beautiful this morning. We’re expecting a couple more days of rain then it will be time to plant! If you’re getting ready for Easter this weekend the shop is still full of cute decor and goodies! A fresh load of plants has arrived and I’ll be making up cute planters between showers! Open today 11-5.
