Once again I would like to thank everyone who came out yesterday and made the derby a success. It was truly an amazing turnout. I also want to again thank everyone who donated and took time to come out and help.

Great news, thanks to Lake Paran - North Bennington, VT and their wonderful group of volunteers there will be concessions all day! They will be starting at 7 with breakfast sandwiches and transitioning to hots dogs, beef chili, white chicken chili and vegetarian chili. Hot cocoa, coffee, tea and assorted beverages will be available all day! Thanks to a generous donation by Cars by Cody every kid that registers will receive a ticket good for a hotdog and a drink!

Due to high suspected number on a relatively small lake i would like to put a 5 line limit out for each kid. I want to be as fair as possible and make sure everyone has the ability to fish. Im asking everyone to please be respectful and dont spread out too far. I also want to remind everyone that this is strictly for the kids and to get and keep them involved in the sport. I am asking everyone to please be courteous and respectful to everyone on the ice involved in the derby or not. Lets set an example for the next generation of fishers to follow. The derby will also be strictly catch and release for pike with holes at each reporting station.

I am looking for 2-3 volunteers for the kids derby to take lengths and weights and keep records. All equipment will be provided. If anyone knows of kids that need community service time for school I will gladly sign off. Very simple and for a good cause!
