With such a heavy heart I bid a hard farewell to my cousin Jenn. I have struggled with this news. She and I were what you would consider to be estranged before we were considered to be best friends . We parted ways about 10 years ago due to differences about how our lives should be lead. After her brother passed in 2015 we really butted heads. Her, her brother and I were the three amigos, including Tommy. Dot made sure that we knew the importance of family and really stuck it to us to understand that. I had hoped that she and I would be close again, we didn’t get that chance. I will pray for her mom first and foremost. Aunt Pam, I cannot imagine your sorrow but I will pray relentlessly for you and Riley.

Unrestrained Driver Killed and Two Injured in St. Tammany Parish Crash
Lacombe – On August 2, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a three-vehicle crash on LA Hwy 36 at LA Hwy 3241 in St. Tammany Parish. The crash claimed the life of 39-year-old Jennifer L. Ayo of Covington.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by Ayo, was traveling southbound on LA Hwy 3241 toward LA Hwy 36. Simultaneously, a 2010 Honda Fit was traveling westbound on LA Hwy 36, and a 2009 Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on LA Hwy 36 toward LA Hwy 3241. For reasons still under investigation, the Chevrolet entered the intersection into the westbound lane of LA Hwy 36, into the path of the Honda. The Honda struck the Chevrolet, and following the initial impact, the Chevrolet entered the eastbound lane of LA Hwy 36, where it was struck by the Ford.
Ayo, who was unrestrained, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Honda, who was properly restrained, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford, who was also properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. As part of the ongoing investigation, routine toxicology samples were obtained from all drivers for analysis.
Troopers wish to remind motorists to always remain vigilant when approaching and entering intersections. Always come to a complete stop where required, scan for oncoming traffic in all directions, and proceed only when it is safe to do so. Additionally, Louisiana law requires that every person inside a motor vehicle, regardless of seating position, remain properly restrained. While not all crashes are survivable, taking simple precautions like these can often mean the difference between life and death. If you witness any hazardous situations, please dial *LSP (*577) to report them to the Louisiana State Police.
