Jimmie Rodgers has been an inspiration to me since I was 4 years old and listening to his records with my mother. As I progressed and started to tour a lot, I noticed that EVERY country singer I worked with or heard was copying and quoting Jimmie in either singing, playing or phrasing. When I grew up, I realized that built a bridge between people of all races and brought respect and joy to Hillbilly, Country, Jazz and Blues Music for all to hear. He spent his last days on earth recording the songs he wanted to hand on, and passed away with the job completed. Thanks Jimmie and Happy Birthday! x TE
