As we get this year’s season kicked off we’d like to know what kind of containers you like your honey in the best. In the past we have tried to find the cheapest jar to keep costs down. The cheapest container is usually a pint canning jar, “mason jar.”
So do you like a glass jar like a Mason Jar, do you prefer something plastic so that you can squeeze the honey out like a plastic bear bottle, or do you prefer something different?
Are you willing to pay more for a “pretty jar?”

The things you never consider…So far we have put 700lbs of sugar on our bees this fall to prepare them for winter, along with mite treatments. That’s around $735 so far, and not done yet, just to pray they get through winter okay.

Thank you, Chris! We appreciate your great customer service, and excellent work!!

So thankful for our beautiful new labels! Conveniently added to card stock so that you can remove them from your jar and place on your refrigerator before de-crystallizing your honey, or before washing your jar!

My dad was fortunate enough to catch us a swarm yesterday. This evening, I was running the weedeater around my hives and was suddenly engulfed in a swarm. None of my swarm traps had been baited in a couple of weeks and my swarm box had a birds nest in it, so the bees decided to go into the top of a tree. None of my 6’ fruit trees, which are right in front of their boxes would suffice. They ended up about 50’ in an oak. I quickly baited everything up, and grab an extra hive box to see if they would come down. No such luck! I waited to almost dark and decided to sacrifice one of the girls softballs, and tied a string to it. I thought giving them a good shake might work…Strike 2. So they are camping there tonight, and we will see what if Mother Nature taketh away tomorrow, or if they come back home 🤦🏻
