Saturday was full of excitement. Pirates in the morning, cowboys in the afternoon! STORYTIME with Kate found us with a packed house, and the Book signing with two-time award winning author REAVIS WORTHAM and his new book COMANCHERIA brought in folks from all over, including author VIVIAN MCCULLOUGH!
Now we’re getting ready for another BIG WEEKEND!

Born in Paris Texas and raised in Delta County, Reavis Z. Wortham grew up listening to stories from his law enforcement relatives. Texas Rangers , deputies, sheriffs, the lawmen had plenty of stories to tell !

Saturday is the DAY!!
First we have STORYTIME WITH KATE at 10:00. Aye Matey— it’s PIRATE TIME ! Shiver me timbers- it’s going to be fun!

Then from 2-5 TWO TIME SPUR AWARD WINNER Reavis Wortham will be signing books at the BOOK NOOK! You’ll definitely want to meet this tall yarn spinning, novel writing cowboy!!

Legends are born in Texas.

Reavis Z. Wortham is no exception.

Born in Paris, raised in Delta County and surrounded by family that knew how to spin yarns— most of them from their law enforcement backgrounds, it was only natural that he would write about those tales.

From teacher to columnist to magazine articles to Wild West novels, his path has been one that celebrates the good guys and finds justice for the victims of the bad guys.

Reavis is the two time recipient of the Spur Award, given by Western writers to the best of their own. Hes in good company with the likes of Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove),
Craig Johnson (Longmire), and Tony Hillerman.

The Book Nook on Main is proud to announce Reavis will be at the Book Nook on Saturday signing his many books— including his most recent COMANCHERIA!

Join us Saturday, June 13 from 2-5 to meet this exceptional cowboy author! Who knows, he might spin a tall tale for you!

Wowzer! What a fun birthday celebration for The Book Nook on Main … and for two year-old Percy Feldt! Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and for the many good wishes from our FB crew! Percy was happy as a clam with all the head pats and tummy rubs! Back to business as usual this week but never fear— things are still hopping and popping at the shop as we gear up for Miss Kate and her STORYTIME this Saturday morning at 10! Wear your pirate outfits and greet us with a hearty ARRRGGGHH! Shiver me timbers- I think it will be a great time for all!

Ladies— while the kids are acting out their adventures on the high seas, you can scan the horizons for great Fathers Day reads and goodies. It’s just around the corner!!

Dads— stick around or come back at 2 to meet the two time SPUR award winning author Reavis Wortham! He shares that particular award with the likes of LARRY MCMURTRY (Lonesome Dove), CRAIG JOHNSON (Longmire), and Tony Hillerman (TV series Dark Winds based on his books.). Not bad company to keep!
