Let’s talk about making memories…
This turkey wasn’t just another bird—it was a first. A first turkey for a gentleman on land that means everything to him. Land he had just inherited from his grandfather, following the passing of his father.
Along with the farm came something even more special—his grandfather’s 113-year-old 16 gauge. A piece of history, now back in the field where it belongs.
He grew up never chasing turkeys, but this year he decided it was time.
A buddy of mine reached out and told me the story. What he wanted to do, what it meant to him—and right then, I was all in on making it happen.
A few days later, this photo came through… along with a story that’s hard to beat. Not just a successful hunt, but a dream fulfilled. The kind of moment that sticks with you for a lifetime.

Helping make a memory that will last a lifetime.

In a world where we always want “longer” shells, “larger” payloads, & “more” pellets; this little guy, at 4 years old, just killed his first turkey using a 2.5” 410 3/4oz TSS shell.

You can do a lot with “longer”, “larger”, & “more” but I’ll tell you what you can’t do.. make a memory like this.

Bringing the youth into the outdoors earlier and keeping the older generation in it longer; that’s just what I’ll do here at Red Dawn Shotshells.

I said if we got 2k followers, we would give away 3 boxes of shells. Once we hit that, I said If we got to 2.5k followers I’d double it to 6 boxes. Well here we are at 3.5k followers!! As a huge thank you, I am going to give away 10 boxes of shells! 10 followers will each win 1 box of shells.
