Rain did not last long yesterday and sales were very good. Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my kitty cat 'Coke' he was 18.5 years old. For the past year he was blind, but still navigated his way around the apartment well. Two of my best friends, and Coke's, took him to the vet for me as I couldn't leave the store. Rest in peace Coke.

2016 Sturgis Rally is off to a great start. Our line of rally t-shirts is selling very well. I will update website and shopping cart when I have more time.

It took 3 people over two hours to locate the cause of the smoke in the store. Thank you Sturgis Fire Department for saving the day!

Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department crews were called to a report of smoke in a building on Main Street Thursday afternoon, and were able to extinguish the smoldering fire.

Buckle Tree store manager, Marian Taves, passed away 1 year ago today. She helped run the business for 15 years. As her health declined, after a stroke in 2009, the Buckle Tree tried to hire new people to do the work that she did so passionately. Unfortunately, passion is not something one can pay an employee to have. So it has taken a long time to get the business back on track. Our new crew is making progress, and I am hopeful we will make our little business successful once again. Marian, we miss you and love you. - Fred Lange
