“Turn that music down!” is something we all heard, at one time or another. It was either by this elder or that elder. As we get older, we hear it less and less. One person who (no matter the decibel level I had my record player at) never told me that my music was too loud, was my mother, Donna. In fact, she always supported and indulged my love for all different types of music, especially pop music! She would literally keep records, in her closet for six months, to make sure that I had it for Christmas morning. I’m writing this after midnight, which means it’s officially been 4 months since I got the news of her sudden passing. This store is my passion project and a way for me to keep my mother’s legacy alive. I want to help people create the kind of happy memories, surrounded by music, that she gave to me. When I hear “Vacation” by , I can still see and hear my mom exclaim how that was our first concert and she always made sure that there was a copy of it, in my collection.
