Commercial project highlight from Carlisle and an amazing team in the Southeast.

This is an oceanfront unit that needed a floor that could shift with humidity. Engineered white oak is the right structure for it. A marine-grade Baltic birch core holds its shape where moisture and temperature move, so a 10-inch plank can run this wide and stay flat and sound.

What sets ours apart is the wear layer. It's sawn from the same center-cut hardwood as our solid planks, a full 4mm thick. Most engineered floors rely on a thin veneer. Ours can be refinished up to three times, the same as solid. One floor, kept for generations.

Engineered White Oak, Heirloom Grade. 10-inch widths, 2 to 12 feet long. Smooth and extra matte in a custom color made for this residence. MAS Green Certified and formaldehyde-free.

North American Walnut hardwood was the right choice here, and not only for how it looks today.

This waterfront home was designed with time in mind. SRC Interior Design chose Engineered Walnut in our Heirloom grade, with 10" widths and lengths from 2' to 9' carrying the floor through every room.

Walnut develops a patina as it's lived on, warming and mellowing over the years. That was part of the design. These floors will keep changing alongside the home, for the family here now and the generations after them.

Today, the mill experience is in Chicago 🏙️

If you’re at Neocon or at the mart this month, come by and try hand-scrape edging.

Most of our floors use a modern scrape for balanced softened edges but it all started here. By hand.

Our team in New Hampshire still do much of the work for our wide plank floors. 24 hands touch the floor to give them a look and feel that will last generations and age gently -

White oak is one of the most versatile hardwoods for flooring.

White oak holds color from deep and shadowed, to soft grey, to something close to its natural grain. That range gives a designer real freedom to build a custom tone or choose one of our custom colors.

The floors in this stunning project designed by Comfort Designs and built by Prestige Custom Builder are engineered, with a 4mm wear layer that refinishes up to three times.

This Texas home by LE Construction, LLC was built for beauty and longevity — and the floor had to earn both.

Carlisle engineered white oak, finished on-site in a fully custom color. 8" wide planks, 2–12' in varied lengths — lengths made possible because this floor is made in the USA.

The thick tongue and groove profile is built around a 4mm solid hardwood wear layer — center-cut North American white oak, the same material as our solid floors. MAS-Green Certified. Refinishable. Built to last.
